Buon Natale!







Merry Christmas (Eve)! I can hardly believe it's already here! While I love decorating, gifts, lights, dressing up, and delicious food as much (if not more) than most, it's so important to remember the true spirit of the season- as I try to everyday. But, even so, there's nothing wrong with indulging in some "commercial Christmas" festivities, and certainly enjoying time with your family. so as we Italians say, Buon Natale, and God Bless.

Not quite the Italian Christmas Eve tradition of the seven fishes, but I find the copious amount of pasta and pastries more appealing anyway.

 

My dazzling  mother, the OG Jackie Burkhart, Christmas 1978, with her boyfriend of the time. (She ended up having to drive him to the police station while he clung to the hood of her car, but for now we'll relish in the vintage glamour.) And don't miss the Beatles, Christmas Story, and old fashioned radio ornaments in the Background!
